Nigel Simeone is a musicologist and conductor. He has been an invited guest lecturer at Oxford, Bristol, Manchester, Liverpool, Kingston, Bangor, Edinburgh, Nottingham, Keele and other British Universities, as well as lecturing overseas at Boston University and Swarthmore College (USA), and in France and Switzerland. Apart from his interest in Messiaen, Nigel is also working on the history and aesthetics of Broadway cast recordings, and on various other Broadway-related projects. As well as co-authoring many books his own works include, Paris: A Musical Gazetteer, Leonard Bernstein: West Side Story, and his most recent, The Leonard Bernstein Letters.
